Scott McBurney Furniture Designs

This desk was a commissioned piece for EB who I responded to her post on craigslist. She wanted her dream desk and I deigned and built it using cues from the Danish Modern Furniture movement. It is constructed from Birch and has Ash for the inlays. The finish is Tung oil with rubbed out with paste wax. I used sliding dovetails for the bottom part of the legs and mortise and tenon for the upper part. The legs were glued and doweled for more strength. The top is inlayed with an Ash rectangle and a "x" pattern.
